Friday Refresh - Morning Mindful Moments

Friday Refresh - Morning Mindful Moments

Jan 10, 2025by Kecia Hielscher

Hey There,

Let's dive into something I'm super excited to share - creating those precious peaceful moments in our morning routine. Because let's be honest, we could all use a little more zen before tackling our inbox!

My Meditation Journey 🧘‍♀️

Can I be totally honest? I've been dabbling in meditation these past few months, and I felt like I was just... sitting there? (Anyone else?)

Everything changed after a chat with a former colleague who's deep into her meditation practice. She recommended Jeff Warren's "Mindfulness for Beginners" 30-day class on the Calm app, and wow - game changer! Finally, meditation clicked. If you've been meditation-curious but feeling lost (like I was!), this course is pure gold.

Creating Peaceful Morning Moments

Not ready to dive into meditation? No worries! There are so many ways to sprinkle moments of peace into your morning. Here are some of my favorites:

The 15-Minute Morning Stretch

Did you know just 15 minutes of gentle morning movement can be transformative? A morning stretch can help improve circulation, fix that computer-hunched posture, and relieve stress before the day even begins.

The Right Scent to Start Your Day 🍊

Did you know that citrus fragrances, like our Clementine & Lime have been scientifically proven to fight sleepiness, lower stress, and increase creativity.

This Week's Mindful Challenge

Pick ONE tiny mindful moment to add to your morning routine. Just one! Whether it's a 15-minute stretch, a moment with your favorite citrus scent, or simply taking three deep breaths before checking your phone - start small and notice how it feels.

Here is to starting our days off with a little more peace!

P.S. I'd love to hear about your morning mindful moments! What little rituals help you start your day right? Drop me a note!
